Len Seligman (www.LenSeligman.com) is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and gifted multi-instrumentalist, who plays joyous, inspiring music. Influences include James Taylor, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, Pete Seeger, Ry Cooder, the poet Rumi, and musical styles as diverse as klezmer and the sounds of funky New Orleans.

Len won First Place in the Great American Song Contest (Inspirational category), as well as two Finalist awards; over 1800 songwriters entered the competition. He has been nominated for four Washington Area Music Awards (“WAMMIES”). He has been a Finalist in the Mid-Atlantic Song Competition and a two-time semi-finalist in the Dallas Songwriting Competition.

Len began performing young, appearing at New York’s famed Bitter End at 19. From 1974-1982, he played guitar and mandolin, sang, and wrote music with various folk and rock groups from New York to Maine. He opened for legendary folk singer Phil Ochs and once supported himself as a strolling singer in Hoboken, New Jersey.

While pursuing a computer science research career and raising a family, Len performed throughout metropolitan Washington, DC from 1987-2013. He appeared with Jesse Palidofsky, Carey Creed, Wynne Paris, and Stream Ohrstrom and the Blue Dragons. He moved to Sarasota, Florida (to be near his 93-year-old Mom) in 2013, where he performs at concerts, houses of worship, meditation centers, independent/assisted living communities, and events promoting interfaith love and understanding. ___________________________________________________________
